Offertory at St Barnabas

Get involved

Parishioners have many opportunities to get involved in the life of our parish.

We have Mass on weekends and on most weekdays, with the opportunity for contemplation during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament before the Saturday and weekday Masses. There is also the possibility of the sacrament of reconciliation before Mass.

We hold courses at key points in the year, for example during Advent and Lent in preparation for the key festivals of Christmas and Easter. Building on these, we also hold a parish retreat towards the end of these seasons.

Parishioners are active in supporting the liturgy, for example as altar servers, lectors and musicians or by leading the young members of the parish in the Children's Liturgy. Others help out in practical ways, for example by arranging the flowers, cleaning the church, cutting the grass and maintaining the gardens surrounding the churches.

Our parish is run by volunteers, with our parish secretary, treasurer and finance committee members all supporting our priest in charge.
